The Key Legal Issues In-House Counsel Need to Know for 2018

Tuesday, January 16, 2018
11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Maggiano's Little Italy at Cumberland Mall
1601 Cumberland Mall SE

The ACC Georgia Chapter welcomes Arnall Golden Gregory LLP whose attorneys will present, in a fast-paced Ted-Talk style, a compilation of time-sensitive and trending legal and regulatory issues that general counsel and business leaders should be aware of in 2018. Each year, AGG aggregates research from the market, their clients, and their attorneys to identify a diverse set of key legal issues, which is then compiled into a single document, quickly highlighting each issue’s relevance and practical action items for GCs. AGG will unveil their 2018 list to attendees in a compelling and concise manner. The presentation’s topics will include:

  • Employer Liability - Sexual Harassment
  • Consumer Financial Protection Bureau
  • CyberInsurance – Data Breaches
  • Employer Liability – Health Privacy
  • General Data Protection Regulations
  • EEOC – Department of Labor Overtime Rules

Attendance is limited to ACC members and their invited in-house counsel guests, as well as prospective ACC members. ACC membership is open to attorneys who practice law as in-house counsel employees of organizations and who do not hold themselves out to the public for the practice of law.

Thanks to Arnall Golden Gregory the CLE lunch program is complimentary for the first 130 ACC memberswho register on-line. Thereafter, the fee for current ACC members is $25, and, in all circumstances, $35 for non-members, including prospective members. A CLE credit of one (1) hour is being applied for, and if approved, will be submitted to the Georgia State Bar for attendees licensed to practice in Georgia.

While we understand that some "no shows" are unavoidable, we kindly ask that you please consider our speakers and hosts who have spent a considerable amount of time and resources to put this event on for you before deciding not to attend. Good attendance helps ensure that ACC Georgia can continue to offer CLE programming and networking events at no cost to our ACC Georgia members. If you need to cancel, we ask for 48 hours notice to georgia@accglobal.com. ACC Georgia reserves the right to charge a fee for attendees who do not cancel.

If you have any questions, contact Connie Swindell-Harding at georgia@accglobal.com.
